Engineer Value Analysis & Engineering VA/VE (m|f|d)

As part of the Value Engineering Team you are driving forward the cost optimal approach  as an essential part of our success.

What you can be looking for at NIDEC:

  • You identify cost saving opportunities in the design and production processes and along value creation chain
  • You lead engineering and design change processes according to the defined change management workflow - therefore you motivate stakeholders to efficiency to keep the timeline of our processs
  • You utilise cost methodologies and tools and appropriate software models to calculate cost optimal designs and you are creating benchmarks for best cost designs
  • You manage the CFT Reporting tool and you will align it regularly with all sites. Additionally you monitor and review data and information to detect and assess problems

How you could excite us:

  • You have a relevant business/commercial or manufacturing/engineering degree 
  • You have at least 3 years experience in cost estimating, ideally in an automotive, manufacturing or engineering environment
  • You speak English and German fluently.
  • You have good knowledge and understanding of a variety of manufacturing/automotive processes and components and you are able to evaluate and analyse associated costs
  • You have a strong technical mindset and  you are able to interpret technical data and translate to others
  • You have good IT skills, including advanced Excel skills and good communication and negotiation skills
