Functional Safety Manager Automotive (m|w|d)

As a specialist for functional safety you are helping our organization to be prepared for new standards in automotive industry concerning autonomous driving and e-mobility.


What you can be looking for at NIDEC:

  • You will continue the change of mind set for the organization towards safety relevant series production development e.g. awareness training and follow-ups
  • You are the ultimate releaser for Functional Safety relevant projects
  • You are responsible for processes concerning ISO26262, ASIL-B and A-SPICE Level 3 for our European organization including gap analysis, training and hiring needs, process description, process documentation and the selection of relevant tools
  • You will be the key user for safety relevant automotive development projects, certification processes and audits concerning e.g. VDA 6.3, ISO26262 or A-SPICE
  • You have the possibility and responsibility to create a team of functional safety engineers and supporters for all necessary functions, interfaces and locations

How you could excite us:

  • You have a Master or PhD in Mechanical-, Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering or a comparable qualification
  • You are a certified functional safety expert or professional
  • You have a track record of introducing Functional Safety development projects into series production for mechatronic systems
  • You want to build up a team around you and like to share your knowledge
  • You are up for building up processes and structures in an intercultural environment
  • You speak English fluently (CEFR: C1 or better) and you do have basic knowledge in German language (CEFR: B1 or better)
